When opportunity knocks, it shouldn’t be ignored, and a unique opportunity for PM&L to grow has knocked! The adjoining building has been offered to us for purchase.
In the past, the community – within and outside of PM&L Theatre – has enabled us to take steps forward and improve both our facilities and our productions. In 1963, we leased our building at 877 Main Street, eventually purchasing it in 1982. Since then, through hard work, tickets sales and donations, we have continued to evolve and improve, with only the limitations of our space and funds to temper our growth opportunities.
And now, the chance to improve and grow is within our reach once again. The acquisition of the adjoining building provides opportunities for:

There is definitely a "You" in Community Theatre
As a part of the community, you are vital to PM&L Theatre. We are a community theatre, and it is understood that community theatre contributes to the social capital of a community. It develops the skills, community spirit, and artistic sensibilities of those who participate, whether as participants or audience members. Whatever we do, we do it with you, and for you.
In the current season, local talent will enable us to present 6 season productions and one bonus production (sixty-three (63) community theatre performances), one (1) Old-time radio live performance, and a summer children’s theatre camp program in conjunction with Lindenhurst Park District, all performed Live! On Main Street in downtown Antioch, IL.
PM&L Theatre has deep roots in our community (and surrounding communities) as a member of the Chamber of Commerce with approximately 6,000 yearly patrons attending one or more shows, 450 season pass holders, 55 advertisers, 100 volunteer members within our organization, and many more additional volunteers donating their time and talents onstage and backstage. All of this is accomplished while striving to maintain a sound fiscal status, for 54 years to date and counting.
We value our role as a vital part of your community—and we value your role as a vital part of ours!
